Sticky Sweet Bears at Hampton Tea Dance 2025: Summer Celebration Supporting Callen-Lorde

Each summer, the Hampton Tea Dance brings people together in the Hamptons for an afternoon that balances joy, connection, and impact. What might look, at first glance, like a classic tea dance carries deeper purpose: raising meaningful funds to support LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare.

In July 2025, that purpose translated into action.

Together, donations connected to the Hampton Tea Dance helped raise over $200,000 in support of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, one of the nation’s leading providers of LGBTQ+ focused healthcare.

Why the Hampton Tea Dance Matters

Tea dances have long held a place in queer social history — spaces to gather, dance, and exist openly. The Hampton Tea Dance carries that tradition forward while pairing it with direct support for care that many in our community rely on.

By benefiting Callen-Lorde, the event helps sustain access to primary care, mental health services, HIV treatment and prevention, and gender-affirming care — regardless of ability to pay.

It’s a reminder that celebration and responsibility don’t have to live apart.

Our Participation

Sticky Sweet Bears contributed merchandise in support of the event, joining a wide network of donors, partners, and attendees who helped make the day successful.

Our role was simple and intentional: show up, contribute, and stand alongside others who believe that equitable access to healthcare is worth supporting — especially in spaces where queer joy is already present.

The Power of Collective Impact

Raising over $200,000 isn’t the result of one action or one organization. It’s the result of people coming together — dancing, donating, and choosing to support care as a shared priority.

That collective energy is what makes events like the Hampton Tea Dance matter, year after year.

We were proud to be part of that effort.
