Supporting Callen-Lorde at the 25th Annual Community Health Awards
Sticky Sweet Bears was proud to support Callen-Lorde Community Health Center at its 25th Annual Community Health Awards, a milestone event that brought together advocates, healthcare leaders, and community partners in shared commitment to LGBTQ+ health and equity.
Together, donations made in connection with this event helped raise over $900,000 to support Callen-Lorde’s ongoing work.
That collective impact is what matters most.
Why the 25th Annual Community Health Awards Matter
Founded in 1983, Callen-Lorde has played a critical role in shaping LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare in New York City and beyond. The Community Health Awards honor that legacy while actively funding the future—supporting primary care, mental health services, HIV treatment and prevention, and gender-affirming care delivered with dignity and without judgment.
Reaching the 25th anniversary of this event is not just a celebration of longevity. It is a reflection of sustained trust, community investment, and the continued need for accessible, patient-centered care.
Why We Chose to Participate
Our decision to contribute was grounded in patient advocacy and a belief that healthcare should be fair, equitable, and accessible to all—regardless of identity, income, or circumstance.
As a queer-owned brand, we believe participation matters. Supporting institutions that protect access to care is one way we align our values with action, alongside many others doing the same.
The Power of Collective Support
The $900,000+ raised through the Community Health Awards represents what’s possible when individuals, organizations, and partners come together around a shared goal. No single contribution stands alone; impact is built through collective effort.
We were proud to be part of that effort.
Looking Ahead
Callen-Lorde’s work continues well beyond any single event. Supporting the 25th Annual Community Health Awards was one way to help reinforce systems of care that will remain essential in the years ahead.
We’re grateful to stand alongside a broader community committed to equity, access, and patient-centered care.
